Distance: 350 x 2 = 700kms.

Directions: Bengaluru – Tumkuru– Chitradurga– Hospete---->(Hampi Express Way)– Hampi.

Before I write this article I’d love to say “ this was one of my best trips,

I’v written this article based on the road rather than the destination. So one might find it odd, but yeah it was never about the destination. Hope you enjoy it”

About Hampi:-

Hampi or Hampe (in Kannada), also referred to as the Group of Monuments at Hampi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in east-central Karnataka, India.[1] It became the pilgrimage centre of the Hindu religion. It was the capital of Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century. Located in Karnataka near the modern-era city of Hosapete.

IN LESS THAN 50 WORDS:
Alright this is one trip that will remain buried in my mind forever. Hampi is one of the most beautiful historical monuments in India. 2 Days Solo Bike trip.

INTRO & PLAN:

Well… as far as the planning goes, initially there was no destination decided. I was just planning to have one solo ride, so after long thinking some good inputs from my friends, I decided to Visit Hampi as till now I have not visited to this place. Just decide 2 hours before of starting my ride.

I was already well packed bags, water, cap, other most required things, Because I was decided not to stay in bangalore this weekend.(Place was not decided).

Day 1: 04:00am (22-02-2020)

After my night shift work, I have started my ride from Bengaluru to Chitradurga (NH4), Filled petrol near nelamangala, since 4am in morning, there was no traffic, As NH4 was my regular route, I was peacefully cruising around 80-100/km till chitradurga,

in between I have taken 3-4 multiple breaks due to no sleep entire night.

By 8am I reached chitradurga, and took diversion towards hampi.

and for my goodness, I was just blissfull to see signboard on entrance for the road (Hampi Express Way).

Thought the road is still under construction in some parts, Just Love the road stretch from Chitradurga to Hospete. It was just mesmerizing.

Day 1: 10:00am Reached Hosapete, From hosapete again around 13KM,

Reached Hampi by arounf 10:30am.

Since I was didn't sleep, I though to Book room and Sleep for some time, then we can start exploring.

In search of rooms I went till Kamalapura which is just 5km away from Hampi,

Got one hotel Mayura room was not that much better they told 2500/Night.

I cam back and again asked few locals, where will get rooms, some one suggested me to go near Main virupakshi Temple, you will get rooms, Finally got one room for 1500/- near main temple it self.

Here every room has roof top restaurant, but seems to be little costly food, But the Area is superb, worth to stay here.

Then I had food and slept till 3pm.

Day1: 03:00PM started exploring Hampi and finished by 07:00PM.

Day 2:

Started with the Darshan of Swamy Virupakshi

Next Took a Boat to cross the river to explore other side of the Hampi

1. Anjanadri Hills,

2. Pampa Sarovara,

3. Water Falls,

4. Lake.

Took a rented Bike for 300 Bucks, and its really worth to explore other side of the Hampi.
